Safety instructions
Our products are designed to be used in a variety of situations with limited precautions. However, to ensure optimal performance and safety, please follow these guidelines:
- Handle with Care: The product is a sensitive electronic component. Avoid dropping, shaking, or applying excessive force, as this may cause permanent damage.
- Operating Environment: Only use the product in environments within the environmental specification section of the user manual. Operation outside of these specified conditions can result in malfunction or damage.
- Power Supply: Use only the recommended power supply voltage and current for the device. Using an incorrect power source can cause damage or lead to safety hazards such as overheating or fire.Mounting: to prevent accidental movement or dislodging, ensure the product is securely mounted as described in our user manual. Installations above 2 meters in height must include sufficient securing mechanisms to avoid accidents or damage in case of faulty mountingThe product must be powered by a source that limits the maximum available power to 15W under all conditions (PS1 classification) in accordance with section 6.2.2 of the IEC 62368-1 standard.
- Mounting: For installations on walls, ceilings, or other structures, the product is only qualified to be mounted at heights of up to 2 meters (MS1 classification) in compliance with Table 35 of the IEC 62368-1 standard. Contact our support or sales team if mounting above 2 meters is required for your application.
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): The product may be affected by strong electromagnetic disturbances. Keep the device away from equipment or environments that emit high levels of electromagnetic radiation to ensure proper functionality and to prevent interference.
- Safety of Life Applications: Our off-the-shelf products are not designed, intended, or certified for use in safety-of-life applications, including but not limited to aviation, medical, or emergency systems where malfunction or failure could result in personal injury, death, or significant property damage. Contact our support or sales team if you are interested in products for these applications.

SBG Systems product lines comply with the European Union (EU) Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The purpose of this Directive is the prevention of waste electrical and electronic equipment,and in addition, the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such wastes so as to reduce the disposal of waste.
If purchased in the European Union, please return the products at the end of its life to the supplier from which it was purchased.
