Trimble is using several files formats to store or encapsulate RAW GNSS data. The most common ones are DAT, T00, T01, T02, T04, RT17 and RT27.

RT27/T04 Format

Qinertia can read RAW GNSS data from Trimble proprietary RT27 and T04 protocol. The RT27 protocol is an extension of the RT17 protocol that adds support for multi-constellations. Qinertia only supports RT27 as RT17 is deprecated and should not be used anymore.

Qinertia can use the RT27/T04 files for base station data and to compute static or kinematic GNSS only solutions. It can also be used in a tightly coupled INS solution to provide the RAW GNSS data.

T02 Format

T02 files format support is not implemented in Qinertia. If you have T02 file, you will have to use Trimble ConvertToRinex  tool.

Note: Ensure that your antenna database is up-to-date for the ConvertToRinex tool to function correctly.

RINEX Conversion

If you have the choice, SBG Systems recommends to use directly RT27 or T04 format as the official ConvertToRINEX often produce buggy results.
