Upgrading from 4.0 and older
If you are upgrading from a firmware 4.0 or older, you should first install the failsafe firmware before you can install the correct firmware type package.
Please refer to the dedicated Update Procedure for a step by step guide.
Important Highlight
Live Map Tab in the Web Interface
A convenient new way to monitor system position and heading, complementing the existing numeric values. The map even works offline, displaying a low-resolution view when no internet is available at the browser side.
Support for Galileo OSNMA Anti-Spoofing
Following the official end-of-test phase announcement from the European GNSS Center (July 24th, 2025), SBG Systems is now providing official OSNMA support.
Previously available as an experimental feature, it is now supported on the latest Hardware versions of the following internal GNSS-based products : Ekinox Micro, Ekinox-D, Apogee-D, Navsight-S, Navsight OEM, Quanta Micro, Quanta Plus, and Quanta Extra.
Note: This feature is not available on products outside this list or on external GNSS receiver (-E) units.
Advanced GNSS Configuration Options
New web UI and API controls give users fine-tuned management of constellations and other internal GNSS receiver settings—perfect for specialized or corner-case applications.
Real-Time Vibration FFT Monitoring
(Pulse-40 IMU based products only)
A unique SBG Systems innovation: while still outputting 200 Hz raw IMU data, the system processes higher-rate IMU data internally to deliver a real-time broader spectral analysis (up to 2kHz). This provides invaluable insight into vibration exposure, making it easier to diagnose integration challenges and optimize installation of the SBG Systems units into challenging customers setups.
Currently available on Ekinox Micro, Quanta Micro, Quanta Plus, and Navsight OEM products, with future expansion planned.
Generic 3D Velocity Aiding Input
In addition to odometer and DVL inputs, users can now provide velocity data from any source—such as SLAM, Laser or radar based velocimeters.
Today, this input is used as an odometer, but future firmware updates will unlock full axis-based performance enhancements.
Real-Time Control of Aiding Input Rejection
Gives integrators precise control in complex setups where aiding sources are known to have unreliable phases.
Support for the New Pulse-80 IMU
Extending compatibility to our next generation high-performance IMU.
Additional Notes
Firmware Type
Starting with firmware 4.2.x,a firmware type has been introduced. The firmware type let you know which firmware should be installed for your hardware. Please read the Update Procedure to get more details about firmware type and step-by-step instructions to update your device firmware.
