License Management
How can I buy a Qinertia license?
You can buy a Qinertia license online from MySBG portal. You can also contact our sales team or distributors https://www.sbg-systems.com/contact/
What type of licenses are available?
Qinertia offers both perpetual and subscription based license models. You can buy online a subscription for 1 or 12 months and you get access to all online services (PPP/CORS etc) as well as software updates.
Perpetual licenses gives you a life time access to a specific Qinertia version unless you also buy a maintenance on a yearly basis to access online services and software updates.
What is a floating license?
Qinertia offers floating licenses with a number of seats. It means the license is not bound to a computer and can be easily shared across several computers. Each time a user log into the software a seat is consumed and each time the software is close the seat is given back.
If your license have 3 seats, it means you can have 3 concurrent users using Qinertia at the same time.
Does Qinertia need an USB dongle?
No, Qinertia uses a modern licensing system that support both online and offline modes and doesn't require any specific hardware to work.

Third Party INS
Can I process an INS not manufactured by SBG Systems
Qinertia can process any INS as soon as you have IMU data correctly time stamped to UTC or GPS time as well as RAW GNSS data and/or PVT (Position Velocity) data.
Qinertia natively support some third party INS such as Novatel SPAN while for other manufactures a conversion step is necessary to Qinertia generic file format.
Most of the time, you can achieve this conversion using the tools provided by your INS manufacturer but for some INS you will have to write your own conversion tool.
For more information, please read the documentation related to Project Creation and Input formats
How can I process Applanix Pos data
Qinertia can support some Applanix POS data.
Get in contact with us for more details.
How can I process Novatel SPAN data
Qinertia offers a native support for Novatel SPAN data so you just have to drag and drop the binary SPAN files to Qinertia to create a new projet.
For more information, please read the documentation related to Project Creation and Novatel input file format.
How can I process Ixblue INS data
Ixblue INS requires a specific software option to allow full IMU data accuracy output. Moreover, Ixblue INS IMU file format is not made available to the public.
As a result, Qinertia can't offer a native support for Ixblue INS. However, you can use Ixblue tools to export and convert IMU data to Qinertia generic text files.
This has already been done by several customers so feel free to contact SBG Systems support@sbg-systems.com
For more information, please read the documentation related to Project Creation and Input formats.
How can I process Septentrio INS data
Qinertia offers a native support for Septentrio INS data so you just have to drag and drop the binary files to Qinertia to create a new project.
For more information, please read the documentation related to Project Creation and Septentrio input file format.
GNSS only processing
Which GNSS manufacturers are supported
Qinertia can be used with any GNSS that is able to output RAW GNSS observable and have at least L1/L2 capabilities.
You can directly drag and drop to Qinertia RINEX v2 or v3 files to create a new GNSS only project.
Qinertia also offers a native support for Septentrio, Novatel, Trimble and Ublox GNSS receivers so you don't even need to convert the data to RINEX.
Can I process GNSS data at 100 Hz
Qinertia support any GNSS data rate from 1 Hz to 100 Hz so yes, you can use Qinertia to do GNSS only processing at high rates. However, keep in mind that processing RAW GNSS data at 100 Hz consume a lot of RAM and takes much more processing time than processing equivalent INS data.
SBG Systems always recommend using INS rather than GNSS only if you would like high frequency data.
Does Qinertia support GNSS Event Markers
If your GNSS manufacturer is directly supported by Qinertia, event markers will be automatically read when you import GNSS data to Qinertia. Event markers are used to export post processed Position, Velocity and Time data on each received event such as a camera shutter trigger. It's useful for GNSS only photogrammetry jobs for instance even if SBG Systems strongly recommend using an INS for this type of acquisitions.
If your GNSS is not natively supported by Qinertia and thus you have to use RINEX files, Qinertia will not be able to extract event markers automatically and you will have to import them manually using generic ASCII file format.
For more information, please read the documentation related to Input formats
Photogrammetry
Which photogrammetry software are supported?
SBG Systems has tested Qinertia with Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape and Trimble Inpho UAS Master. However, Qinertia can update JPEG files with precise position and orientation data and also export the same information as CSV like text files. Qinertia should thus be able to work with any serious photogrammetry software package;
Can I process my DJI data
Qinertia has a dedicated support for DJI UAV that are RTK capable. Simply drag & drop the DJI files and pictures and Qinertia handle the rest. Please read the Photogrammetry section to get more information.
